First dress try on!

Saturday was the first time is saw my dress! My actual dress as it came in early! YAY!

They unzipped the bag....and my panic set in! Then dress was the wrong color! THE WRONG COLOR! What am I going to do....it is the WRONG COLOR! Thank goodness Stacey, one of my bridesmaids was there, she calmed me down! The poor girl that was helping me was a little panicked as well. I said this is not the dress I tried on! They went and got the dress I tried....and I was right.....it was not the same color!

I tried it on....and then got the bridesmaids dress color next to the dress....and it was a good mistake! The colors look even better together now! SO WHEW!

Then Stacey is checking it all out....every seam and stitch! And found some snags in the dress! I start to freak out again....and they brought back the lady that would be fixing those errors. She just simply stated (with a nasty look to my sales lady) that this should have been pressed and prepped for my try on! I did not know this...but apparently when the dress comes in....it is supposed to go to this lady who presses and cuts all the little strings off it. It is just what happens. She was not happy that this dress had not been to see her yet and I was trying it on for the first time. But, she did promise me that it would ALL be fixed and pressed before I tried it on for my fitting! Stacey then looks at the lady and says.....I would hope so! Tehehehe! And that is why I was glad she was with me and was not alone! I would have NEVER caught the little snags! I was too busy looking at the color! :)

But, all in all I left there a happy camper (after the shock wore off). The lady did bring out a headpiece for me to try on and I LOVED IT! Well, ma'am it is only $200! WHAT?! ummmmm no thank you!

I am on a strict budget with this wedding. A $200 headpiece (no viel) is not in the cards. But it was BEAUTIFUL! I just can not bring myself to spend that much on a head piece. I think it would be pretty bad if I wore it everyday after the wedding so I could get my money out of it! LMAO

That was just the first dress try on......I hope everything is not this nerve wrecking!

I also did come up with my invites. I am very proud of them! You will see why when you get them in your mail box! :) The are simple and pretty and I designed them myself!

well, back to reality of a Monday.....boooo!
